After another tough loss to the Phillies (44-67) in front of a packed house on Saturday, the Friars are looking to bounce back and finish the series on a high note while also hoping to snap a five-game skid.
Fortunately, the Military Sunday Camouflage uniforms do wonders for the Padres (52-59), who have a 5-3 record at home when wearing their digital camo jerseys as a nod of support to the men and women of our nation’s military.
Donning one of those camouflage jerseys on the mound today will be RHP Andrew Cashner (4-11, 4.08 ERA). Cashner has enjoyed a great amount of success against the Phillies over his career, posting a lifetime 2-0 record with a 1.25 ERA (3 earned runs, 21.2 innings pitched) over eight appearances and two starts. Opposing Cashner will be Phillies’ RHP Jerome Williams (3-8, 6.09 ERA).
